Youth Media Lab for Peace

Digital Storytelling for Intercultural Dialogue & Social Cohesion, Mogadishu, Somalia

We are pleased to invite young people from diverse backgrounds to apply for the Youth Media Lab for Peace, a UNESCO-supported initiative implemented in Mogadishu.

This project aims to empower youth, especially internally displaced youth, women, minority groups, and persons with disabilities, with advanced digital storytelling skills to promote intercultural dialogue, inclusion, and social cohesion.

Who Can Apply

We are selecting 20 youth who:

  • Have strong computer skills
  • Own a personal computer/laptop capable of video editing
  • Have basic or advanced video editing experience (an advantage)
  • Can attend 2 month of in-person training
  • Are confident in public participation and teamwork
  • Agree to have their work and profile shared publicly
  • Are committed to inclusive and respectful dialogue
